T17s are still an overtuned mess that are also annoying to roll

Learn to use the ladder which is giving you numbers for the event and not some random steam numbers that tell you nothing specific about the event.

Several hundred players are listed the ladder, but apparently somehow "nobody" played the event. Shocking

Hot take but T17 shouldnt be harder then Ubers, my character could do ubers but not T17 bosses, its insane. I wouldnt mind one of the many 'special' t17 mods and then the rest could be regular map mods so it would still be challenging but honestly most of the mods suck. The tentacles and bubbles i actually hate and refuse to run anymore.

Yep exactly, they're harder than ubers for me and many more players. And if not harder then they're still an annoying af chore to run. Soo many mods you need to skip or the map becomes unbearable, so you're just forced to delete hundreds of chaos orbs just to roll them. They still need more changes.

These maps continue to be a problem in the game, so many people printing mirrors in them while the rest either can't do them at all or can do them with bisection+stability scarab but get 0 rewards. They need to be fixed, hope we get some more nerfs or a complete rework because map mods affecting these re-skinned bosses is a complete joke. That or I'm expecting some scarab nerfs to the scarabs most used in all the OP strats, or straight up deleting some scarabs.

But hey all I can do is keep re-bumping this post until these maps are in an acceptable state and finally properly balanced.


The uber boss keystones were infinitely better than these fragments coming from maps with annoying enemies,bad layouts on 4 of the 5 maps, badly designed bosses affected by bad map mods,overtuned map mods that are anti-fun and disable entire builds and also are rewarding only for the 0.1% that can do titanic exile spam or whatever other strat is popular. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Valdo map mods do not belong in these maps, deleting all those mods would be a good first step to fixing T17s. And obviously deleting many other annoying mods, tuning down others even more too. It's such a joke having to delete hundreds of chaos to roll them, just let us use all currency on them like any other map lol.

At that point even if you fully clear the map and sell the fragments you probably haven't profited from it because of the chaos you spend rolling, so for an average player the best choice is to bulk sell them and ignore the content. That tells you something is wrong with these maps.


These maps, and uber bosses, are supposed to be optional aspirational content. But they've become anything but optional all because of the rewards. Just make the gold drops 0, make atlas not interact with the maps at all and call it a day. Let them be optional content. The whole purpose of them was for you to fight minibosses to get ready for ubers and get fragments from those minibosses, so just let the maps be only that. Loot explosions of hundreds of currency stacks,thousands of uniques etc. from exiles is just ridiculous. And ofc you need a 10 mirror build to even attempt that.
Sounds like a big fomo exclusive problem.

T17 are just a skill and build check just like t16 used to be years ago while the content was on par with the player power creep.

Sorry to tell you that although I have played for years I am not a good player (honestly just too old to play well) but I do pick good builds and this league I went with the (somewhat meta) ice nova archmage hierophant which did not cost me mirrors or even more than the divines I dropped myself leveling and mapping. I managed to do all the challenges (but had some help with 1-2 Ubers) including the 250% t17 challenge.
I do agree with one post that the t17 bosses are still a little (not a lot) over powered (mostly due to map mods) compared to Ubers which should be resolved, but the rest is build choice.
My build was a starter build not a meta endgame have loads of divines to even consider it build, that grew as I played. Yours apparently did not.
Should every build be able to do t17s? No they are pinnacle challenges for the builds that are powerful enough (offensively and defensively) but they could do with a small amount of love. They are most definitely not for the 0.01% and are more like for the 1% maybe as much as 5%.

Edit. I do agree that loot ‘exploits’ like the necropolis one last league and the rogue t17 one this league should be patched out asap to stop disproportionate wealth being accrued.

it is pretty much only about build choice

it is the same for Sanctum where only few (like 4? 5?) builds make economical sense to play that content (not finish it once but FARM reliably and QUICKLY. there is no point farming it when your run takes 45 minutes EVEN if you can complete it 100% of the time (excluding no hit runs but that is for very few brave man))

issue is that T17 mint gold coins like crazy and drop uber frags that are guaranteed return + have completely idiotic loot multiplier over all other multipliers

people blab about 'skill issue' - the only skill required to faceroll T17 is giving up and joining the meta. you can do them on many builds but to farm them (including bosses) with minimal chaos spam - there are very few builds, mostly ones that can ignore the most of the no-counterplay mods


build polarization in this game causes all sorts of problems and T17 if anything make the game worse ESPECIALLY since GGG put fomo mechanic (gold/town) into the game. without the gold - it is 'acceptable', with gold - nope

I agree with almost all of that.
Although the gold issue is literally as you said just fomo and that’s a hook not a justification to change it, the mods are extreme and that extremity is why so much gold drops. I didn’t use t17 maps as a gold farm and basically did them enough to get challenges done, the rest of gold for town was easy enough just playing t16s and not caring if town ran out (which it rarely did when I was actively playing the league).
