Gifted key by friend, but can't log-in on Steam as I'm told I have no access.

My friend played A LOT of POE 1. They were given a free key for lifetime support. They had already bought a supporter pack on Steam, so they gave me the key.
I redeemed the Key on November 27th on Steam with no issues. I've download the game on Steam but I can't log in as I get the following error. "Your account does not have access to Path of Exile 2 Early Access. Redeem an Early Access Key on our Website or purchase access now." What is going on? How do I fix this? Hello, have you tried linking the POE account whic you got the steam key for to your steam account? If you have, I don't know what's happening. If you haven't, the link emails aren't sending atm so it's impossible, and that's an issue on GGG's side

Also played POE1 through steam. Accounts are linked but I still get the error that my account does not have access.

Having the same problem as these fellas, I claimed my gifted key for steam and my account has been linked since long ago.. It will let me download the game without any problems but when I try login into any server it wont let me with the same error message.
