Gifted key by friend, but can't log-in on Steam as I'm told I have no access.

same here, I bought my own key but its showing same message as of you guys, I JUST WANT TO PLAY AS A TITAN IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?

my friend gifted me the 60$ starter pack, actually paying for his copy as well as mine, so yall chill with "you need to buy your own copy", this is not how this is supposed to work. GGG better spill out a solution & fast bcs this is unheard of.

We're not buying multiple extra copies in the hopes that one will work.

I had access about the supposed launch time, but about 12 hours later the website started saying I no longer have access to EA. I even emailed support along with the EA key I used here on web in the shop key redeem, but no replies what so ever.

I got the steam key from a friend of mine and his poe2 is working and i did linked all the email i linked to steam and i cant get to early ascess

This is a massvie oversighjt by these devs. Why even let steam generate an account if you cant have access without a Website account. Its as bad as leaving RDP port open on Enterprise firewall. It would only cause problems so why even let it happen. I ahvent even gotten to play the game and never played the first. this is not a good way to start this relationship with these devs and does not instill confidence with me if this kind of oversight is being overlooked for their launch.

I FIXED IT BY
1) GOING TO WEBSITE LOGGED IN THROUGH STEAM.(IT SHOULKD BE MISSING EMAIL)
2) ADD EMAIL USED FOR ACCOUNT THAT HAS ACCESS TO BETA
3) AGREE TO LINKING AND SHARING INFO
5) THAT SHOULD FUSE THE TWO ACCOUNT TO ONE UNDERNEATH THAT ONE EMAIL
6) ENJOY GAME

Out of those of you who got a key from a friend that only granted you the ability to download the game, but not actual access to the game: has anyone bought the game after that and got it to work?

Because I got my friend's spare key he had for the PC version, as he wanted to play on PS5 now so he bought it there. So now I can download it on Steam, but the website says that I don't have access to the beta.

What I want to know is, will it work properly if I just re-buy it on Steam (Even if it says "You will not receive an extra copy of Path of Exile II"?

Accounts are linked since forever, used key from friend, but no access.

The lack of communication or even any kind of reply from GGG on this issue is surreal.
