Same here. I am guilty of purchasing the $460 version. I really want GGG to succeed with PoE 2. I WANT to play the game, but I'm also not playing because I'm scared of corrupting my SSD or ruining my CPU/GPU. I experienced a similar issue with Amazon's New World where it fried my EVGA RTX 3080. I'm just going to be patient and let them sort this out.

Okay, this let me get to the character select screen and load in again. We'll see how much of an actual extended play session I get, but this is actual progress for me.

As of today, i cant even play the game. reinstalled nvidia drivers, verified game files, tried changing all kinds of in-game graphics settings (too many to list). As soon as i portal, game will crash and lock up the pc. mouse moves a bit stuttery, but as soon as i try to bring up task manager, pc crashes. gotta hit that reset button. absolutely love this game. Sad i cant play it anymore.
4080 super. 7800x3d, 32gb 6000 ram.
fingers crossed it gets fixed eventually...

Nevermind. After a few hours I switched characters and it did the same garbage on load-in.

Well of course lol. His "definitive fix" is pure BS fishing for views on some dogwater yt channel lol. These people are the worst adding so much misinformation and just trying to profit off the issue. Like actual brainrot

Just throwing in as well. Can't risk destroying my computer. Never had this issue in the past but after POE 2 EA and updates both POE 1 and 2 have issues now. Tried two computers, same thing.

Laptop:
ASUS ROG G14
Desktop:
AMD 9800x3d
4080 Super
64GB Ram

As a former network engineer, I understand bad interactions happen. It needs to be addressed quickly though. If it were to damage such expensive components, that could make it very bad for people. People are trusting GGG to be competent, not just with game content. Yes, equipment is designed to turn off to protect itself, but for the naysayers, yes it is also very possible for equipment to fail due to continued abuse (Seen it with all sorts of equipment).

No other game is having issues. Same symptoms, stuttering followed by hard crash. I understand the priority of EA is to get content out but I wish they would address this huge issue (300 something pages deep). Also, since it is now preventing me from playing POE 1 as well, the EA isn't an excuse. I guess I'll keep playing Hades 2 for now, I have 0 problems with that game.

Well, don't count your chickens. It's only been one day since the fix was released.

I didn't get the problem last night either after the fix (without PoEUncrasher), but I'll see how it goes this weekend.
