This post is about nothing, "we know about the problem and will try to solve it", yeah after 3700 messages in the thread. Thanks to the developers for taking the time to write two general phrases.

I had an old Intel 9700K on launch of POE2, the game never crashed or froze.

Now i have upgraded to a 9800x3d, and my game freeze in almost every loading screen. I still have the same GPU and GPU driver. Nvidia 3080


After i found POE uncrasher, the game is somewhat playable again, and only crash once in a while.

Hoping for a better and more permanent fix soon.

Only with POE2.

Sorry to hear that DeKoedoetBoe,

I'm in a similar boat pre upgrade. Could you tell us if you have tried lowering max CPU power usage to 80% and also if the lockups coincide with high temperature values and high CPU usage. Also what work arounds have you tried so far?

And do you think this issue is Windows 11 specific, if so why?

I feel your pain.. i was here for almost a month also waiting for any response, any fix.. any word.. I get that only their word/response on this will not fix, but still u said about not having a response in one month.. hey, at least we got one ^^ Before that i swear i was feeling forgot, unseen, unheard of. It's just nice to know they are looking into this still, and i think the more this thread grows, the more they should worry and try to fix asap.

For those who are hard reseting, try PoE uncrasher, again, it's the only temporary fix that works. If this isnt event work for you, this is not your problem, you have a different bug or hardware issue.

I mean, there's no reason for them to say "we are looking into this", and after that just ignore the issue and do work on other things.. I don't think that's what is happening.
They are probably investigating and trying to disgnose where the crash is coming from.. And sadly having no progress in this month, sadly.. This can take time, or not.. we never know how easy or hard is.. Especially if it's such one, happening on different Pc's configurations, different O.s. etc..

Because you're not talking about the same issue.
You know that a variety of things can cause a game to crash right?

And as I said before, the specific issue of this thread here, which relate to a system-wide freeze/crash rather than game crashing and going back to desktop, is NOT on their end.

IF you have a freaking whole-system freeze/crash, diagnose your system to find the actual cause of the issue; the game is not the CAUSE of your system instability, simply a symptom.

so brand new pc, 9800x3d and 7800xt, cant even start the game, it crashes even before it shows those gears animation

i tried unninstalling W11 update KBsomethingorother, changing to vulkan,cap fps etc. any suggestion i found on the internet...weird thing is once the game stops responding, task manager also freezes so i cant even close the game and have to restart...goes without saying that the game at least starts on integrated graphics,but its unplayable of course

funny enough i played on 1660 old laptop, made it to lvl 95 without a crash so this is quite dissapointing

I have been using poeuncrasher successfully for a couple of weeks now but loaded the game just now WITH poeuncrasher as admin and it completely froze my PC still, so sad but it's not worth risking my PC to play anymore until an official fix is posted.

Can't even get through the first initial loading screen, it's ridiculous.

Please GGG, fix this shit.

EDIT: tried again with poeuncrasher just to test, can't even get through first load screen, game is cooked.
