Where are these people coming from?

I spent all my tablets and maps(all alched) and I am now with an empty stash with zero maps at t8 quest.

Shop sells t1.

I am NOT paying exalteds for maps.

(I have no issue with dying, I'm maxed on resistances with like 7k armor)
BUT
I'm on tier 5 maps and I've had to craft a few of them.
I'm down almost 500k gold because of it. I have waystone discovery increase tablets on my towers, and on my atlas passive tree.. I even did a map that had a 275% chance to drop waystones and only got ONE.. and it was a TIER 1?!
I obviously made sure my waystones were juiced up too so it would bump up my chance to get one. nope.
It's honestly killed my desire to play the game. I think I'm done too until something is changed.

Wow. THIS IS ME.

I made it half way through tier 3 maps and then I completely ran out of stones. I died literally once to some BS one shot mechanic hidden beneath grass. 1 death out of 40 some maps. I went through every stone I had.

Do GGG expect me to go waste my time in Act 3 of cruel praying to the RNG gods that they will drop a waystone so I can have the privilege of playing the end game in their ARPG?

Who is responsible for this horrid design?

What good is an endgame if you can't play it?

There needs to be an NPC that sells an infinite number of white maps up to the highest level you have cleared for a REASONABLE PRICE.

Gotta be doing something wrong if you can't sustain low tier maps. trans+aug+regal every map at the very least and you'll be in yellow maps before finishing the first few passive point quests. If it wasn't obvious, you can run higher tier maps than the quest requires.

Unlock towers, use tablets, run the nodes that have extra bonus content on them.

Tablets? I found 1 out of 40 maps. The drop rates are terrible. I didn't use it because I was still in early mapping and trying to get a feel for things. No where does the game say "you better use this or you are SOL". The entire system of waystones needs to be tossed in a freaking bin. It's trash design. Every other company on the planet is fighting for gamer's attention/time and GGG is over here gatekeeping their endgame. It makes no sense. They are shooting themselves in the foot.

I've struggled a bit at the beginning too untill I learned how to actually sustain and go up the tiers, can't say it was unfun to be at t1 for 4-6 maps longer than it should've been, I mean, I was still playing PoE anyways and the orbs were still dropping very well. I now play on t10-11 a day later and I still go on t1,2,3,4,5 when I roll some crazy modifiers on rarity because currency keeps dropping regardless. I guess you just need to look at it a bit differently if you are being bit stuck at the lower tier and enjoy your playtime. Cheers!

Tip: when I'm dangerously close to running out of my current tier stones, I play it like early Tarkov: careful and patient. No rambo stuff.

ive cleared about 100 maps on my atlas, and i to am struggling with map sustain.

if a map says 400% extra chance to drop waystones, and im in a t8, with all atlas passives for higher waystones.

and it drops 1 tier 1 waystone the entire run.

why am i even playing this game?
