I just quit POE2 because of lack of WAYSTONES.

Trick to sustaining is to use T1 waystones on travel nodes(nodes with 0-1 extra content and tower nodes. Then put tablet in tower and use your highest tier waystones on the maps that contains a boss and the tiers one step below that on the maps with 2+ extra content icons. Once you get to T10+ you will have lots of passive nodes on atlas tree helping as well (pick the chance of higher tier waystones node).

Basically 0 sustain issues if you do this.
I'm level 90 and have done quite a lot of T15. Am I right that T16 maps never drop? Haven't seen a single T16 waystone drop yet. Getting them by corrupting T15. 3x15 in the forge also doesn't work.
Don't have an issue to sustain T15, though.
"I quit poe2 one week into the EA because it wasn't PERFECTLY balanced, waaaaah"

Gimme a break man, have ANY patience.

I love how people are trying to give advice about how to compensate for the poor design choice like we aren't doing these things. I play SSF and and have a lvl 8 and lvl 9 keystone left despite trying to complete the t7 quest. legit about to be hard stuck if I die in the next 2 maps. Really poor design.

t16 = corruption outcome
Farming salt on the forums since 2024
Working as intended though isn't it? if you keep dying in maps you should be forced back to farming Act 3 as you're not ready for the content no?
Hopefully, they'll do what they do in POE1. Vendors reset every day and they have 16 maps or so per day, which increases in tiers as you progress through the atlas and player level.

POE1 doesn't have this problem though. They've already solved it, but probably quickly added in a broken system to release the early access.

run +1 maps to get higher tiers of waystyones. Very basic strat. Beyonds or irradiated. Find +rare mobs affixes also, as rares drop +2 level items, waystones included. Or bosses. Skill +waypoints in map atlas. I find it pretty easy to sustain as you get some progress. Just try not dying

The issue with this is that if youre level 75 you get zero benefit at running a T1 waystone.

Most people dont play games to make zero advancement. Ive run a waystone with over a 200% chance for a waystone to drop multiple times, and received zero waystones.

D4 had this issue with Nightmare Dungeons and sigals, where they didnt drop and you had to do tasks with no reward, to HOPE to get them, it drove a lot of the player base away.

White waystones should be purchasable from the vendor. Why wouldn't they be?

Let people play the game. If they can advance, great, if they want to slam their head against the wall at T7 content they're not ready for, let them buy the waypoints.

The challenge should be, can you handle maps at level X, not go farm X-Y content you dont want to do for a chance to play a level x map.

Players with twenty seven support badges arent going to leave with maps being more accessible, but the new players who want to come into the game will.

Im low on maps I need, and I have zero M-1 maps. Once im out of maps to run ill move on to another game.

Everyone wants a game with challenging mechanics, but I dont think most people want a game that's challenging to actually play.
I think this sealed the deal for me. Time to call it quits.

I think this is an incredibly shady mechanic I'm seeing too often. "Spend time farming stuff, just for the opportunity to have access to farming other stuff." I refuse to spend time and effort in a game, just to be able to have an opportunity to play the game. It's a BS mobile game tactic. The game already eats your time and this just feels downright disrespectful.

If the endgame IS MAPS then why is there so many obstacles to playing the endgame? Farm and farm and farm for and item then NOW lets you actually have a chance to participate in the ""endgame"". Tilts the scale to making me feel like a chump wasting this much of my time for the privilege of wasting more.
