4/10 for me. 4 points because i like the look of the giant map. 0 points for execution.
Hard for me to give it a number since I'm not all the way through it yet. Some folks reference things I haven't encountered, which is fine. I'm still cooking up some solid opinions.

1. Only being allowed one death per map is a terrible design choice. Even in Dark Souls, one of the notoriously most difficult games of all time, if you die at a boss, at WORST you might have to clear a bit of content before getting another shot. What's going on in PoE makes the punishment you receive in Dark Souls look like a slap on the wrist. This is the aspect of PoE 2's endgame that I like the least, by FAR. Is it not enough for GGG that I lose experience on death in the endgame? I have to lose my whole map and everything I've invested in it too?

2. As many have said, being able to zoom further out on the map would be amazing.

3. More explanation about what the heck is even going on in the endgame would be nice. I don't really know what I'm doing, I'm just throwing waystones in these nodes and hoping that eventually something will make sense to me.

4. I'm not a fan of maps not having a boss at the end. This doesn't feel like PoE to me. And considering how much work obviously went into the boss design in this game, I'm not sure why GGG wants us running so many maps that don't even have bosses. Maybe it's for newer players who might have a harder time with bosses, but they still want them to be able to complete maps. In that case put the boss in the map, but don't make killing it mandatory for map completion. Just spitballing and not claiming my idea is perfect; I just want to fight bosses more.

5. A few times, I've found myself running out of waystones of the correct tier for the stage of the Cataclysm's Wake quest I'm on, which is frustrating. Kind of annoying to need to trade for waystones, but if that's the way it is then whatever I guess. Mid-tier stones are only 1ex a piece so nbd.

More than anything I'd just like to have a maximum of 6 attempts at completing a map again. Losing my entire map because I died is just purely demoralizing, considering there are a million ways to die in this game even when you have >75% evasion, >4k hitpoints, and max all res.

Kinda felt that way until I found some good clear skills and have been addicted since. If you feel like the campaign was a slog then its probably the build you are using.
rate it EA...what else can I do?
love the game, but mapping is a 3/10 experience for me.
Not much content to look forward, 1-portal penalty is atrocious when you want to learn pinnacle bosses, disconnects erasing your map and waystone are a joy killer. Too many maps with narrow and tortuous corridors, making breach and ritual quite unfun.
It’s just a bit boring at the moment, but I’m sure it will change a lot.
For now it’s a playground to test build ideas :)

Endgame is too punishing, especially in a game where dying and trying again for progess is punished with 10% exp lost and also the waystone.

In addition that the spots lose all the perks after death is also a slap on the face.

Will not recommand to play further after reaching lv 85-88
3/10

Infinite atlas was a mistake, none of the maps matter, unlike in PoE1 where the atlas only has 120ish maps(but they are all distinct). This means there is nothing to do.

Invitations impossible to get, yet are required to farm ANY currency.

Magic find affects EVERYTHING, making it a MANDATORY stat, in PoE1 it did not affect league content.
2/10. Have to directly compare it to POE1 because it's essentially a copy. I'm disappointed in POE2 and the way GGG has handled many things so far doesn't look good for the future.

+ Boss fights are better than POE1
+ Waystone drop rate is decent
+/- Gambling items for gold. Good for leveling, but it caps at ilvl 75 and then makes gold useless
- Limited build variety. GGG selectively eliminates some builds while ignoring others that perform better. Support gems are capped at one each
- Items still require specific affixes to have any value (+%MS, +Skills, +Life)
- Less than 10 layouts/environments make up 90% of the maps
- Minions usually get stuck by doors. Where is convocation?
- Why do towers exist as maps?
- Endgame bosses are locked behind absurd grinds or RNG
- Passive trees for league mechanics are locked behind defeating those bosses
- 1 portal per map
- Bosses should be in every map
- Base movement speed is too low. An acceleration shrine is much closer to what it should be normally
- Trials of the Sekhemas. This is a failed idea. Remove honor already
- We still have to manually pick up all currency items
- Uniques are almost entirely useless
- Crafting still sucks
- The economy broke in less than two weeks
