rate the endgame from 1 to 10

Campaign: 8 for the story, 3 for level design (maps too big and inefficient quick travel being the most noticeable problems)

Endgame: great bones, but at the moment it doesn't go over a 4 for me, for the multiple reasons a lot of people already wrote about.
The citadel system... 200 hours to found 3 keys to get dc at the Arbiter fight and die...
Now i don't have currency to buy the fragments, and no citadels to get them.

3/10
So far, 3/10.

Feels like they copy/pasted a bunch of PoE mechanics without much tuning and added some of the most tedious layouts imaginable.

Good news is it's easy to improve from here.
0/10
such a trash

Campaing Acts 1 to 3 - 8/10 - lost some points because late Act 2 and Act 3 maps are too large, some could be smaller. Since we need to enter submaps to complete quests and side quests.

Campaing Cruel Acts 1 to 3 - 5/10 - placeholders for the real Acts 4 - 6. They are easier than normal 1 to 3, but had the same issues.

Endgame Atlas - 2/10 - boring infinity Atlas concept, have way too many bad nodes (Augury, Mire, Sulfuric Caves, Crypts etc) and the 1 death per portal mechanic is total BS

Ascendency trials - 2/10 - not cool to bring the least liked mechanics from PoE 1 and on top of it make them mandatory to accrue ascendency points.
3/10

Wouldn't recommend to a enemy in current state
4/10 Not enough PoE1, too much tryhard wanna be dark souls. I knew the slowdown was gonna be shit, and i was right.
4/10 but 8/10 for early access with some optimism they'll sort some things out once they get all the sweaty souls-like out of their system or balance it better around sweaty souls-like. I think the atlas is an interesting way to do things and picturing it with a lot of nodes like moment of zen, that give something interesting to path to? It could be really cool.

I think ritual rewards are terrible. I've done over 100 ritual maps I'm pretty sure and have not found a single invite or interesting unique and way way too many augmentation orbs and trans orbs for what I would hope for from t15+. I don't like 1 portal and have zero interest in learning to like it. Saying that as someone who rarely dies. I still think it is too tryhardy for no reason.

The town loop - meaning the loop of picking stuff up and identifying it and orbing it or storing it is too short. I think bigger maps should = bigger inventory but they obviously didn't like some metric that caused from affliction, when they gave anyone a bigger inventory who wanted to invest in it? Dunno, but too small and too much returning. Tedious and don't care what the intent is, not feeling it.

Breach is cool, the boss is cool, the breach rings are super cool now I think, instead of just being fodder for grasping mail.

I fought a couple citadel bosses and I assume those are placeholders. Not currently even bothering to hunt citadels.

Delirium needs an option to turn the music off without turning music down, it's not good music after the 100th time. It also plays hell on my fps when combined with fx like burning ground, on a pretty solid system. But I liked old simulacrum and waiting on a balance pass to touch it as well in POE2.

I played POE1 as far back as when Dominus was the boss and it came a long long way over time. I don't think for the worse at all, minus some of the really outlying leagues like LoK.

Gripes aside though, I've been playing it non-stop so far and just ignoring the broken stuff.

That's my opinion.
1/10 played way less than any other arpg. 1 life feels bad.
2-3/10 at best. Its like folding laundry.

-maps are giant and empty, dead ends, back tracking
-nothing happens in maps, just kill mobs, kill bosses, some league stuff is worth it
-TOO MANY vanilla nodes. Im tired of clearing vanilla nodes so juice isnt wasted on them. Its boring
-zero experimentation because every class has 1-5 usable skills rest are trash/filler

Havnt done the pinnacle bosses yet but grinding maps is really tedious and boring. This game is basic and bland. Didnt have time to flesh out the end game but they made sure the cash shop was ready to go.
