Hate to tell ya though. Probably 95% of the player base is casuals/bads. If they all stop playing because the end game Map design is not fun, extremely frustrating, then there won't be enough left to support and make this game flourish. It'll be PoE 1 Ruthless player #'s.

Combination of low drop high tier maps with 1 death is hilarious. It's just unfun experience.

Barely any players. Campaigns should always be the focus since this game wants to copy d2. The genre originated as a dnd campaign in its layout, if the campaign is a waste of time and not fun (character progression, power progression) then the entire game will go to shit. The people grinding endgame are a minority, see poe1 playercounts dropping off of a cliff harder than a fighting game post release since endgame is often the least fun activity for the larger consumerbase.

You need mechanics/league mechanics that appeal to casuals and are more than "bro grind this t16+ map for 0.1 shards and get 553.5 shards to get a key and get 3keys to fight this super uber boss for sick rewards, just takes 200hours of farming HARDCOOOOOORE GAME YO".
I see all of these people posting -1 and most of them never even bought a supporter pack. This likely means they are unemployed and have nothing better to do than to spend 12 hours a day playing gambling simulator.

See how far the game will get if these people are the only ones supporting this game. It will fail within a year.

POE core paying audience are people who respect their time because they have little of it. If GGG intends to disrespect that core audience, then they will be out of business real quick.
It does need to go.

All the people saying get good and skill issue will always be that way. Just ignore them. I would love for GGG to show the stats of what % has made it to end game. Endgame is horrible I got through red maps and quit. The one portal makes you just play super slow and passive. It's not a skill or get good issue. If they think that. It tells you a lot about them. They have Hardcore and Ruthless they can add the one portal crap to that. If you want to stay on softcore trade so they can snipe items on trade great. I've played ssf and 3-4 man group ssf for years now. Trade makes this game so easy that it's not even worth talking about.

Chris loves to punish the players that is why we have the one portal. Chris would love nothing more then to keep the game in Ruthless mode. It does not work though. Data proves it.
Spent 2 hours today farming atlas to find a citadel. Spent another hour unlocking all towers around it. Juiced the towers. Ran into the citadel. Clear it pretty easily up til boss. Ilvl 82. Fight boss. Beat boss. I run up to get loot. Something falls from ceiling and one shots me....

3 hours lost. About 50exalt lost. Rolling 16 maps. About 20 15s lost in rolling for a good 16.

Yesterday. Spent all day farming for 2 citadel. First one like above alot of investment in currency and time. Boss has a attack speed modifier and stun locks me and kills me. It was moving faster then I could dodge. Lesson learned. Second citadel. Dorya. Again time and currency investment. Get him to second phase and chaos attack one shots me.

Im done with early access lol. If they keep this stupid one death shit I won't play full release either. Feel like I'm playing diablo 4 for f sake...

Wait for balancing before you start to demand that they chance this.
Personally im doing t14-15 maps now and yes I do die sometimes to stupid things but most of my deaths happen because I made mistake.
Base on my experience in this game end game is not actually that far from been really good.

What they need to work on
visual clarity
Life sources (answer cant be stack str)
Base monster dmg
on death effects

Im sure there is more but those are what I think are the problems.

Edit. Also they need to tune down some map mods.

Have you considered not dying. Seems people are using this trick to get around maps being deleted.

Make it so that portals disappear after a Death. Maybe make 3 death portals, or remove a rare reward if you died once in a map. Right now 1-hit-death is really unfair and makes me want to quit.
