Surely all the people making different threads and others going +1 and agreeing that these mechanics are bad are a "loud minority". Surely.

They are a minority. Demonstrably, factually so. The game has, at this very moment, 332,449 players on steam in game. This forum's most viewed (not even commented on) thread on the front page has a whopping 7558 views.

Do you see where the forumdwellers are a minority there?

It's always been true that the people that bother to go to fourms to type shit are a tiny, tiny fraction of any given playerbase.

And half of those players are probably just getting to level 70ish , if that.

Also, the minority of players are above that point, and even less above level 80. So, it could quite possibly be that minority here, giving their take. Idk for sure though.

They've already implemented updates because of feedback & said they are going to continue doing so after the holidays. You're saying that the feedback forums are somehow not a majority, then where are they getting their feedback from?

So a couple things there:

1. I'm not "saying feedback forums are not the majority". That's a *fact*.

2. Any decent developer has internal metrics to base decisions on.

3. Just because something is not the majority doesn't mean the feedback doesn't matter. A good developer doesn't live under some kind of dystopian tyranny of the majority where "amount of vote" = "must be done". A developer with a brain is perfectly able to read feedback and *think about it* before deciding to act on it, or discard it. This is why forums are still useful (along with bug reports from forums being a very good source of common and uncommon technical issues), despite representing a tiny fraction of the player base.

Almost all of those people are still in campaign, just wait till they get to maps lmao

Yeah, sure. No one can like the game because you don't, they probably just don't know how to play. What a joke.

Wait, how much time did you put into path of exile 1? We can see your forum post and your account details. According to both those things you 1) barely played path of exile 1 and 2) you argue with people who have on perfectly fair opinion.

Stop arguing with people on their opinion, when you don't even actually care about the mechanic, they're talking about lol?

I have 110 hours of PoE1 and 160 hours of PoE2. Currently lvl 85 playing SSF, just selling items for currency to gamba my own items.

When they announced that PoE 2 would be a DIFFERENT game from PoE 1, I was extremely excited to play it precisely because it wasn't that crap that was inaccessible to new players.

I started playing PoE 1 during Sanctum and it was IMPOSSIBLE to start the game without researching a build guide made by someone. I play SSF and I'm not worried about other people's builds, I like putting together my own build. I'm currently making t12/13 maps without researching anything other than "how does "x" status affect my damage". In PoE 1 this was IMPOSSIBLE.

That guy just wants PoE 2 to be just like PoE 1, you can see that in every post he does. Is very different from constructive feedback. S

I think the point was, the majority of the players who are at the point in which they'd experience XP penalties, and map issues ect ect are still a minority. You cannot factually say that, that portion of the player base is not on the forums, unless you can show metrics for it? Just like I can't say that they are all here complaining, but I can say that of those complains it could actually be the majority of players who are at that point and experiencing those issues, at least I think I can.

I'm ending this with the fact that we both agree the forums are totally useful. Feedback is useful, bug reports are useful, community engagement is useful. It's great.
