Player based will leave and this game will die out if they don't remove the XP Penalty

This would be perfect. I have no plans to play after lvl 100. I also have no plans to play if, in the process of getting to 100, 100's of hours of MY LIFE are stolen from me in the name of "other peoples fun".

NOPE, no sir.

Give me one reason why you don't want a "baby league" where you don't lose EXP on death.

Stop using the word baby, it's very offending to other people. Baby have nothing to do with this.

Pointless engaging. They think its funny to troll.

Definitely teenagers.

A great idea, split it like diablo 3

Torment I: Level 1-20
Torment II: Level 21-35
Torment III: Level 36-50
Torment IV: Level 51-75
Torment V: Level 76-85
Torment VI: Level 86-100
Torment Elite League: Level +100 (XP Penalty imposed)

This case no one will complaint about xp penalty only at elite league.

So ppl get an EXP penalty when they are already max level and can not gain levels anymore?

That reads as it's possible to exceed level 100.
i.e. there is no maximum level.

they're not removing this penalty and its not going to kill anything. Move on. Play better, farm gear when it gets rippy, play smart: farm omens for level 95+

Be a gamer.

Pretty much this.

They're already walking back one-attempt instances, which is probably reasonable for some of this content, but if they turn PathofExile, the enduring, successful ARPG franchise for the gamer that likes to push himself (or herself) into PathofSnowflakes where everyone gets a participation trophy and free rim lick...well, that would just be fucking sad.

Why do you and others who enjoy all the death penalties insist on misrepresenting everyone else who say it's just a little too much? Most people would be fine with exp loss if it wasn't 10% taken from beyond the current map. Many people are fine with exp loss without all the other punishing penalties. You feel the need to go to the extreme and call people snowflakes because they get frustrated for losing hours of progress from some unavoidable off screen spell or getting rushed in a hallway.

I think it's some strange gamer ego condition. You feel superior to other people because you spend all your time on poe and you just can't stand the thought of someone else playing who doesn't have to deal with all the death penalties. You really need frustrated players you can act condescending towards to bolster your own ego. Strange.

My statement spoke for itself.

PoE has never been aimed at everyone. It was designed to be more difficult and challenging for those who enjoy such. The XP loss is one of the very best tools in this game to make you get better or perhaps move on. Clearly, many of you cannot see that, don't want to see it, or just can't handle the temporary pain because it inflicts permanent scarring.

If PoE2 tries to cater to all sensitivities, then the franchise is lost and will be like most of the rest of vapid game offerings out there, meaning not worth playing.

It's not ego at all. It's not wanting our game gutted.

Never adjust the game to people who are offended by "baby".

But there is a the maximum level of 100, so...

He still hasn't answered the question:

"Why don't you want a separate "GIGACHAD league" where ppl can play without the EXP penalties?"

Can you explain how the game would be "gutted" if they diminish or remove the most egregious punishment (stealing progress that the player has already earned)?

There would still be 4 more layers of permanent punishment (time sink, tower influence, loot drops on the ground, and juiced waystones).

You don't already earned it, you are on the way earning something.

Your EXP gain is temporary. If you do it right over some time you earn a "Level up", if not - you don't.

And the reason for the EXP-loss never ever mattered to someone who is against it. They don't care why, they don't care how to deal with it - nothing.
They want a mechanic they don't like/understand removed, while most ppl don't.
