They don't want it, they've given their reasoning multiple times, and whether you like it or not doesn't really matter. It's their game, their vision, and an AH isn't part of that.

I'd actually prefer them to go the other way, disable anybody being able to scan stash tabs and make people work a lot harder to trade items.

They have never given an honest reason they just lie everytime, has nothing to do with "Balls" it has to do with lies and scams which they are known for, I give them a pass because POE 1 is free but they charge for POE 2 so pulling a garbage Blizzard scam by selling you a game then forcing bad game design just to sell cosmetics is low scummy stuff.

The reason they won't implement Auction House is because nobody would buy their dumb Hideout cosmetics at that point, people only buy these useless Hide Outs to show off to people who come to buy since that's all the interaction you will ever have in POE 1 and 2.

Jonathan wants to do the Auction House but management at Tencent Chinese CCP won't allow it because it would reduce their shareholder profits.

Yes GGG is just as bad as Blizzard, stop pretending that these companies are any different.

I don't think trading brings much value to this game.

The entire game is too reliant on being balanced and designed around an economy, and it's a huge negative for everyone, and a huge negative to many aspects of the game.

No thank you. I used to think AH was a good idea years ago, but I saw the direction PoE 1 went in with focus on the economy, and it's not a good one. PoE 2 won't be any different.

trust me, you don't want ggg's vision of a item auction house.

it's the same issue like we had with separating gem sockets from gear: people were amazed by the new possibilities with 12 6-linked skills, people with more experience saw the tsunami of other changes coming to make that work in a game.

it will be no different with item auction houses, it's either easy and they drastically reduce droprates or good rolls. or you will have to wait 4 days for your item to finish it finding bidders, after having paid masses of gold for putting it in a auction in the first place.

and this is the good outcome of an ah.

This is the same lies you told about Currency Auction House and it worked out perfectly fine.

Gotta sell those useless HideOuts in a game that costs money and isn't even free.

Looks to me like this game is another Diablo 4 just with better gameplay.

This is the best solution, and I think it's what many people mean when they say they want an AH. Just keep the system how it is, but automate the item transfer through an NPC (just like how the currency exchange works).

There's no excuse not to do it this way. It would instantly get rid of all the scams and issues plaguing the trade scene right now.

Auction house? Please no.

Instant Buyouts? Yes!
