Endgame Dev comments on Portals.
What really makes it feel bad for me, is that I feel I'm already punished with the EXP loss and the loss of the league mechanics on the node, but then I have to do the "walk of shame" to clear that empty node, and that feels like an extended, extra, additional, and lingering punishment.
But honestly I don't know if there is a way to solve this. Implementing any way to skip a failed node could be exploited for skipping nodes people just don't want to do. |

That is the point of having conversations about issues that affect the game, GGG hears us, they have always taking into consideration what the players have to say
Now that doesn't mean that GGG will do what one or another player wants exactly, but they do hear us. |

It is remarkably frustrating to lose both your waystone AND the mechanic. THey just need to get rid of mob respawn on death and let people run back in like POE1.

" They didn't mention points 5-6 because Act 4 is going to have a third easy tutorial trial which probably gives them to you. Meaning most players will get the first 6 points relatively easily during the Campaign, while final two points will be proper endgame content. Which they kinda were in PoE 1 as well. If they're going to keep this 1 portal thing in, along with everything else, I suppose they should be prepared for the effect it will have on their playerbase. I have two friends I introduced to the game and they've since quit because of the 1 portal system and finding it too punishing.

Now to actually add something useful to the portal conversation.
GGG says that going back on "One Portal" is a last resort. I do not believe that they will be able to achieve that goal. In one form or another they will have to add in more portals to fix the current system. My reason for this is how they fixed the trials. All of my friends hate the Trials. They've done both on both Melee and Ranged classes. They've also done them after the trials got patched and "fixed". Both the trials are still reviled in my playgroup. GGG was not able to fix Trials by simply moving some numbers around. The core/fundamental problems are just too strong. One Portal/Death has the same issues with how strong the fundamental problems are. |

I don't think you gaslit everyone enough. Care to try again? Literally no one said it's going to be forever. This simply missed the mark from day 1 launch, no one likes this except as i stated before the niche 1% that isn't going to pay GGG's bills. If you lose the 99% they fail. I'm not a casual but, I'm smart enough to see it from both perspectives and can see by interacting with you nerds it's awful to get anything done. The Ego's on this board are out of this world

They said 1 portal per death is going to stay as long as possible. They're ready to change every other on-death mapping punishment except that.

Really wish they would revisit the decision to stick to one portal mapping. I've been waiting for them to change it so I can come back and enjoy the game again. Especially considering it sounds like POE1 is going to be on the backburner for a LONG time
