reintroduce races and race rewards

The prizes are a variety of existing unique items and a very upgradable base item type (Coral Ring) that all have alternate art in-game. These particular pieces of special artwork are only available from this season of race events - other seasons will have different items. While the power level of the uniques (and upgradable base ring) is relatively low, they have high trade value because of the exclusive icons. For example, most high level players have access to a Goldrim (unique Battered Cap) when they need to twink resistances on a new character, but few people will have the version with special collectable artwork.

At any rate this thread can be locked up.

It is very unlikely GGG will introduce new race seasons with new rewards. The last season happened in 2016, that is 10 years ago. Chances are extremely low for it to happen again. And if it happens, it will most likely be in Path of Exile 2.

Currently the cheapest alt arts cost you less than 100 divine on insta-trade, start building your collection from there.

All I did was throw out some feedback and expressed my desire for some more fun events, its adjacent to the topic of this thread.

And with how many people logged in,killed Hillock for that free MTX then logged out in the last gauntlet I'd say the majority of the playerbase enjoys free rewards kek

Lots of people also get to lvl50 if there's a free mystery box(myself included). And if the event is in HC I just follow an RF guide and grind in Act 5 Reliquary where its nice and safe, never touching Kitava. That's my Strat TM for lvl50 in HC events where they offer free boxes lmao

A quick look at the ladder makes it abundantly clear that most players run the gauntlet for the challenge and enjoyment, not merely to secure a first boss kill. Your personal approach to these events does not meaningfully reflect the broader player base.

Furthermore, since this discussion is specifically about the old seasonal race events, feedback calling for regular events is misplaced.
There are already appropriate threads dedicated to those topics and GGG will release those type of events at the right time.

Players participating here are asking about the historic season race events from before your time in Path of Exile, rather than the modern events you are accustomed to.

Along with all the alt arts for winning you also had a chance to win some via raffle after the race was over, if you participated. There were a certain number allocated for raffle from each race. So you kinda did just get stuff.

As much as I'd love them to bring back official poe 1 races the chances seem slim to none. I'd give anything for a standalone Descent: Champions mode though. Man those were fun...

Races were also excellent training for general play. BLAMT (BLAMT: Blood Magic, Lethal, Ancestral, Multiple Projectile and Turbo) races were amazing tough, but once you got in the groove, were eminently doable. And that was back before the rules changed from HC to SC. =^[.]^=

well sure, but people certainly didn't enter the race just for the raffle ticket. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you receive extra raffle entries based on how far you got? Perhaps I'm remembering something else.
